Today0400Surgical ReportIt was not possible to perform a vaginal hysterectomy due to the size and location of
the tumour therefore, a total abdominal hysterectomy and bilateral salpingo-oophorectomy was
performed under general anesthesia. The patient received two doses of prophylactic antibiotics and was transfused 2 units of PRBC to maintain hemodynamic stability in the OR. She was started on an PCA pump for pain control and taken to the recovery room in stable condition.
